And honestly, I don\u2019t blame them.<\/p>\n\n<p>They\u2019re deep in integrations, testing, data, and go-live pressure. Meanwhile, we\u2019re chasing SMEs for crumbs of information, trying to piece together real training from half-finished processes. And yet\u2014we make it happen.<\/p>\n\n<p>We build simulations, QRGs, full-blown eLearning, assessments, workbooks, facilitator guides\u2026 all the moving parts it takes to drive real adoption.<\/p>\n\n<p>But when stakeholders see a simulation for the first time\u2014or get a Quick Reference Guide instead of what they imagined\u2014they&#8217;re often confused:<\/p>\n<ul>\n    <li>\ud83d\udde8\ufe0f &#8220;Wait, what is this? I thought it was going to be a video?&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3>Here\u2019s the real issue:<\/h3>\n<p>Simulations, QRGs, eLearning modules, and assessments may sound similar\u2014or even look alike at a glance\u2014but they serve very different purposes. A QRG isn\u2019t a walk-through, and a simulation isn\u2019t a quiz. But when the project is moving at full throttle, we rarely get the airtime to explain these distinctions properly.<\/p>\n\n<h3>So here&#8217;s the big question:<\/h3>\n<p>\ud83d\udc49 Is it our job to educate stakeholders on what training really is?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Short answer: Yes. But not endlessly.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>We need to set clear expectations early\u2014visually, simply, and consistently. They don\u2019t need a masterclass in instructional design. But they do need to know what they\u2019re reviewing, why it matters, and how it fits the bigger change puzzle.<\/p>\n\n<p>Because when they don\u2019t get it, guess what?
